What creativity we have seen within our church family during Holy Week and Easter…
· Our church building open at lunchtimes, with inspiring prayer stations arranged by our new team minister for spirituality
· The 18-30 group hosting a Passover-style meal on Maundy Thursday for a hundred people of all ages
· A moving all-age service on Good Friday, using drama and puppets to retell the passion, followed by an excellent turnout for the ecumenical procession of witness through the town and service in the square
· The first walk of our new Saints Walking group, attracting people of all ages for a gentle walk around the parish
· Easter morning, with a packed church beautifully decorated with flowers, and the large cross outside transformed with flowers into a thing of beauty
· The day rounded off with an uplifiting Songs of Praise with the Festival Orchestra
Well done to all those who worked so hard in many different ways to make these services and events happen – to God be the glory!
